Burlesque Fusion focuses on the aspects of seduction and sensual movements, with no strip-tease and adds aspects of jazz & hip-hop dance set to upbeat and sultry pop music. Prairie Diva’s goal is to encourage people to get out of their comfort zone and feel confident in their own skin. Burlesque Fusion is open to all levels, shapes and sizes of adults and is a safe space to express yourself and strut it down the dance floor!

*Intermediate/Advanced Level – 5+ years dance experience necessary. Medium-high intensity, fast paced class to sassy, empowering choreography.

What is involved in a dance concept video:

 
A dance concept video can be compared to that of a music video, but with no singers present. It is a short video (usually the length of a song, approximately 3-4 minutes) that tells a story or expresses a theme through the art of dance.
In our concept video choreography classes, you will learn a dance routine to an entire song. After learning and perfecting the dance for the 5-week session, you will then perform it in front of a camera at a special location in the city. You will receive a copy of the video at the end of the session (this is included in the price below).

Full Session Price = $200.80 +gst

– Pricing includes 5-Weeks of classes (10 hours total training) & a digital copy of the professional, edited concept video at the end of the session at no extra cost.
*We have 2 types of payment plans available:
1. Pay in full – $200.80 
2. Pay in two instalments of $100.40 (due at time of registration and 2nd instalment due on June 14)

Meet your Teacher!

Lavender is a passionate and encouraging instructor, who joined Prairie Diva in 2021. She teaches burlesque fusion dance classes for all levels of students, and also teaches private lessons for students who want choreography or coaching. She has a special soft spot for beginner students trying out dance for the first time, and wants to share the freedom that can be found in sensual movement. Lavender began her dance training focusing on ballet, and has travelled across North America for her professional training in various dance styles, both classic and commercial, which she uses to create works of all styles and genres, ranging from hip-hop to classic burlesque and almost everything in between!  Also a company member of M Funk Dance Productions, you can find her performing and choreographing regularly for Prairie Diva showcases, doing burlesque, musical theatre works, and other dance routines with her fellow company members. Her classes encourage students to grow not only their technical abilities at their own pace, but also explore musicality, stage presence, and developing an artistic voice.
